Treasury and taxes

The treasury block inside the town hall holds your town's gold coins. You need the hall built before you can deposit, withdraw, and read tax lines in one place.

Morning tithe

Each morning, villagers who count as residents pay a tithe based on how comfortable they are. Comfortable means their hunger, energy, and fun meters are in good shape. See Villager needs for how to keep those filled.

Tax collection runs while at least one member of your town is online. Gold still accrues for unloaded town chunks, but no tithe runs while every town member is offline.

Open the treasury UI to see coins add up. The second tab shows a breakdown of who paid what.

Increasing income

Several town systems raise how much you earn beyond the base tithe, including:

• Feasts and feast policies
• The founder statue
• Other town policies shown in treasury menus
