Warehouse and deliveries

Recruit Mara Finch, available from Town Level 2, build her Warehouse and finish her recruitment quest. Use the Warehouse Ledger Desk to open town storage.

Three kinds of storage

  • General storage holds supplies you deposit. Use search, switch between grid and list views, or use Store matching to deposit carried kinds already stored there.
  • Crafted Goods holds completed Apprentice crafting orders. Collect finished equipment, meals and building blocks here. Deposits belong in General storage.
  • Building Outputs shows resources kept by core production buildings and workplaces with their own stores, including mineshafts, mushrooms and berries. These items remain at their original source and retain that source's capacity.

Collecting output makes room for more work. Seeing goods in Building Outputs does not move them into General storage or increase their capacity. Collect barn milk with empty buckets.

Set up deliveries

  1. Employ a civilian Townsfolk with nonzero Logistics skill.
  2. Enable Logistics on the journal's Work page and keep their wages paid. No Logistics workplace or bench is needed.
  3. Queue a workplace task and put the required supplies in town storage or an eligible production source. Keep the ledger desk, workplace and source accessible.

Couriers reserve supplies, collect them and deliver them where needed. Each material is fetched from a source with enough available stock. If that stock changes before pickup, the delivery is planned again. Reserved stock cannot also be spent on another task. A full destination pauses delivery.

Crafting workplaces can receive several crafts' ingredients per trip. Food workplaces provide population support rather than goods for delivery. Read Logistics and couriers for troubleshooting.

More room and remote access

Use Building upgrades to see storage expansions, their Town Level and treasury costs. Deep shelves increases stacks per slot in General storage; it does not enlarge every production building's stores.

Mara's friendship unlocks a Warehouse Supply Link recipe, a Quartermaster Pack recipe and a Field Ledger. A Supply Link near ordinary workbenches makes eligible town supplies available for player crafting while respecting reservations. The Field Ledger opens storage while you are inside town. The Quartermaster Pack is Townsfolk profession equipment, separate from your portable backpack.
