Builder's Yard

Apprentices travel to your town's construction projects and help build reachable pieces.

Set it up

  1. Recruit the Builder, finish their work building and unlock Builder's Yard through their Apprentice workplace controls. You need a free workplace slot under that supervisor.
  2. Use the Building Staff, choose Create workplace, and mark two opposite ground corners inside town. Choose Builder's Yard, name the area and save. Include the whole Builder's Workbench in its marked area and height.
  3. Employ a civilian Townsfolk with a nonzero Building skill. On the journal's Work page, enable Builder's Yard; priority 1 is highest. Pay their wages and leave a clear walking route.

Start a normal town construction project with a plot token. It appears on the yard's project board. Open the Builder's Workbench to review, reorder or pause projects. Supply their construction materials; Logistics workers can deliver from the warehouse to the plot sign.

Work and output

Builders travel from the yard to the project. Several Apprentices can help, and higher Building skill and suitable equipment improve their pace. A finished project leaves the queue.

If work is waiting

The yard creates buildings in the world, not stacks of building blocks. Check project materials and walking access to unfinished pieces. Use Block Workshop if you want planks, stairs or other blocks crafted as items.

Keep the area nearby and loaded. Workers also take breaks for their needs. Open Apprentice workplaces for shared staff controls, Work priorities and wages for employment, and Warehouse and deliveries for supplies.
